Doggie Olympics 2009 - Joey and Ryan compete in Agility for fun events. Joey won a bronze medal! We are all very proud of our staff dogs and their handlers. Super Saturday Daycare 10am - 5pm $10 Keep Cool and Work out with your Dog Saturday just for fun classes, 11am - Noon $8 You and your dog will enjoy a playtime workout filled with fun obstacles, games and treadmill time. Spend an hour in our air conditioned play area with your dog. Treadmill and mats are provided, toys, obstacles and our staff to assist.
The Peanut Pet Shelter and Kennel, Playa del Carmen, Mexico Rackel Ward is preparing to return to the Peanut Pet Shelter and Kennel in Playa del Carmen, Mexico in November 2009. What started out as a quiet vacation soon turned into a mission to help this wonderful organization dedicated to saving the lives of abandoned and abused dogs. Andy, Jen, and Adam and all the volunteers spend their days taking in stray dogs, getting them spayed and neutered, nursed back to health, and prepared for new loving homes. Adoption and education is a big part of the process. While some dogs may live out their lives at the Shelter, the goal is to find a good home for each and every dog rescued. Sponsorships are needed to help supply medications, veterinary care, vaccinations, and food. The entire operation runs on volunteers, donations and lots of heart. Every Saturday the shelter opens it's doors to visitors who come to help wash and care for the dogs. It's incredible to see how these dogs appreciate the attention they receive. Not one of these dogs fought the bath, or the examinations, deticking, ear cleaning, wound care, brushing, grooming and nail trimming all performed by volunteers. We were able to supply the shelter with a donation of food, medical supplies and equipment. Thanks to the Staff of the Loveland Dog Club and the assistance of some wonderful Veterinarians in the Loveland area. A special thanks to Brad Ward, who carried the supplies in an extra suitcase all the way from Loveland, CO to Mexico!
